THE FACE BEHIND Costello Travel

Independent Travel Agent & Travel Designer

Hi, I'm Sam — wife, mum, grandma, cat owner and the person behind Costello Travel.

When I'm not working, you'll usually find me at the gym, with my head in a book, planning my next trip or watching Manchester United — although the last one isn't always the relaxing option.

Travel has always been a big part of my life. I love discovering new places, staying in a great hotel, eating good food and, quite frankly, having another trip in the diary to look forward to.

I'm very much a people person and I love getting to know my clients. Costello Travel may be the business, but there's no big team behind the scenes, when you contact me, it's me you'll speak to and me you'll get to know.

And yes, I will want to hear all about your holiday when you get back.

How It Started

From numbers and spreadsheets to holidays and experiences.

Before launching Costello Travel, I spent many years working in accountancy. It taught me to look at the detail, ask questions and make sure everything adds up, skills that turned out to be surprisingly useful in travel.

When I started Costello Travel, I wanted to do things personally.

Not simply search for a package and send over a price, but actually get to know what someone is looking for and use the suppliers, contacts and knowledge available to me to find the options worth considering.

Since then, Costello Travel has grown far beyond where it started, from holidays and honeymoons to sporting breaks, wellness escapes, cruises and once-in-a-lifetime experiences.

And the bit I enjoy most is still discovering something and thinking: my clients need to know about this.
